Car crash near burg road injures Allan Ayers
A 1968 coupe collided with a truck half a mile south of Burg Road yesterday afternoon. Allan Ayers, 18, of 599 Liberty Street, sustained head, face chest and rib injuries and was admitted to Corry Memorial Hospital. Knapp suffered a bruised left arm. Damages totaled 4000 to the car and 200 to the truck. Trooper Haskins said Ayers entered the highway from a secondary road into the path of the northbound auto.

Ohio River Bridge Declared Unsafe For Use
A 71-year-old Ohio River bridge between East Liverpool Ohio and Chester West Virginia is unsafe for normal traffic due to serious corrosion on cables.
