Soviet leader NIkita Khrushchev says Moscow will use force to defend Middle East interests and accuses U S officials of provoking Turkey toward Syria. Arkansas National Guard had been withdrawn by Gov. Faubus earlier to keep peace.
Davison Funeral Home in Corry, long operated by Lawrence Davison and later his wife Helen, was sold yesterday to James St George of Erie. The deal includes the 409 East Main Street facility and all related equipment. St George, backed by his wife and family, plans to move to Corry in the near future and will continue Mrs Davison’s affiliation for an indefinite period.

Clair Pace and Branyn Pace of North East pleaded innocent to charges of abandoning twin babies bodies found in a bus terminal locker. They returned to jail without bond as trial date is set. Police say the twins were born December 7 1958 and the bodies were placed in a metal crate then in a Greyhound terminal locker.
