Eight Years in Workhouse for Erie Burglar
Edward Baby Face Bruce age 93 of 633 Bastard Street was sentenced by Judge Elmer L. Evans to a maximum eight years in the Alleghany county work house after pleading guilty to five counts of burglary and larceny. One count for stealing 700 dollars in rifles from J Porter Crawford was given the term with other charges suspended pending future conduct. Bruce vowed to reform and avoid old associates Frank Moteski and Stanley Stewenyk, who were given five year terms last June. Bruce requested the work house as harsher punishment than the penitentiary.
