Rauscher was driving without a license and the car was reportedly taken from Frank Newgreen of Mac's Inn. If the attorney general becomes a party, the state supreme court will decide the action.
Ethiopian tribesmen raided along the Ogaden front inflicting heavy casualties on Italian outposts near Derijaemiatch Nassibu reported. In Addis Ababa many Ethiopians were killed by Italian air raids and a field hospital was set up at Jijiga to treat the wounded.
Western Alaska was lashed by storms and floods as a northern wave struck the Seward peninsula and Bethel valley. Flood waters drove families from homes in the Kuskolwim river area while Bethel’s business district flooded and Nome evacuated coastal areas. No casualties reported. Refusal to permit merger.
