Well No 1 Well Shot On Howe Estate Today
An oil well on the Howe estate was shot this morning around eleven o clock by the Coupler Junior Torpedo Go of Titusville under Aumdat Bond. Forty five quarts of nitroglycerine were used to blast the first wall and results were reported as very satisfactory. The well sprayed water and oil into the air to heights of seventy five to eighty feet drawing a crowd of local spectators eager to witness the event.
