Delayed Trial For 32 Year Old In Grandfather Slaying

In Hollidaysburg Pennsylvania a second trial for Glenn A Leamer, 32, in the slaying of his 92 year old grandfather Samuel Leamer of Frankstown, is postponed pending an October 18 sanity commission evaluation. Judge John M Klepser ordered a three man panel after defense argued doubt over Leamer's understanding of his position. Leamer had been sentenced to death in 1955 but a prior execution date was stayed and a new trial ordered due to flaws in an earlier sanity review. The judge urged the commission to report quickly to speed the case.
