A bank advertisement urges parents to open children’s accounts at Warren National Bank. It stresses long term benefits, frugal habits, and education funding, noting 4 percent semi annual compound interest on interest accounts and parental control until the child reaches age.
The Common Council received a detailed wire and pole condition report. It lists extensive deficiencies on multiple streets including Center Miret Ave Ayton Priest Ave Firat Ave Church St Pleasant St Main St South St and South Ill where wires are sagging broken rusty or entangled and poles rotten or unsafe. It requests replacements and repairs to restore safe service and outlines specific locations and needed work.
An inspection report lists multiple utility poles in the first and fourth wards. Poles at South Street near the Library Theatre and at Spring and Santa should be left vacant for clearance. Additional poles on South Street between Spring and Kir t avenues and on West Church Street require attention for safety, with several flagged as rotten or unsafe.
