Patsy Evans a Miami resident claimed to be 123 years old when she died Monday. Born on a Jefferson Georgia plantation she moved to Miami forty years ago after her husband’s death. She reportedly never drank but used snuff and occasionally smoked a cigar and had 19 children, four of whom outlived her.
Requiem mass will be held at St Elizabeth's Church Thursday at 9 am with prayers at Bracken Funeral Home beforehand. Scriptures read Wednesday at 7 30 pm. Friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Interment in St Thomas' Cemetery.

Floyd W. Black 79 of St Cloud Florida died Saturday at Orange Memorial Hospital Orlando. Born May 16 1890 in Clarendon Pennsylvania he owned a barber shop in the Corry area and was a World War I veteran. Survived by wife Gussie two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral arrangements at Bracken Funeral Home with mass at St Elizabeths Church Thursday at 9 a.m. Burial at cemetery.
