Story of Checks distributed to high schools nationwide
A 20 page colored comic book titled The Story of Checks will be sent to high schools nationwide through the 12 Federal Reserve Banks. It explains the origin of checkbook money as about 30 million checks with a value of 6.5 billion dollars are written daily. Ninety percent of dollars owed are paid by check and checks rise about 10 percent yearly.
