For the nine months to September 30 the county incurred 1,915.50 in sheep losses, with eight months ending August totaling 4927.08. Dog license collections for nine months reached 6,821.60, while eight months were 99 less. Road reconstruction costs rose sharply from 419,544.01 at eight months to 4.04 at nine months, with road costs for the period also up from 2,681.29 to 274.41. The report notes a net gain for September in both directions.

The Halfast family and neighbors escaped through a high window. four children and Mrs Halfast with the youngest were badly burned but expected to recover.
