Fatal crash at sharp curve claims several lives

Edmond Callanan chauffeur for Henry T. McSwiney of Atlantic City and Mrs. Wallace Turner of Corry die in a collision at a sharp curve when the driver fails to make the turn. Four others escape with minor injuries as the machine crashes into a post. Victims die instantly in what locals call the most horrible crash in years.

No inquest planned after deadly Hare Creek crash

Deputy coroner Mark Fullo m confirmed no inquest. Edmond Cullanan 23 and Mrs Neva L Turner 33 died after a Pierce Arrow driven by Cullanan crashed near Wheelock on the Hare Creek road. Several others were injured including Joe Sample Nell Taylor and Kimmy Church. Mrs Turner’s husband and mother survived. The car, owned by Henry T McSwiney of Atlantic City, had been brought to Philadelphia recently.

Release of Homing Pigeons At Local Station

A flock of homing pigeons was released at the United Himing Pigeon Concourse express station. They were transported yesterday under A Mirsoh of New York with a war-related mission expected to unfold in the pending days. A larger shipment is planned for next Saturday, with additional birds to be staged at the Athesing pointd.

Republic of Turkey Gains Official Title

A Kittanning youth identified as Charles McGregor of Kittanning Pa was found murdered in the Southside Municipal swimming pool girls’ dressing room last Wednesday.
