A fire caused by an electric iron at a Cohen block men’s clothing store on Center Street Washington Streets rear of the building caused smoke and fire damage with losses estimated around $2,000, mostly to merchandise. A second arrest in theAutomotile crash west of the Sta Hatchery on August Tec led to charges of reckless driving against Mittle Spencer, a well known resident, who was seriously injured. George Grant of Detroit faced similar charges. both incidents stemmed from a collision at the crossroad west of the Nateherg while Spencer was en route to the city and Grant west on Roosevelt highway.
