Centerville October 1 Hender son Supplee Jr president of the Supplee Wills Jones Milk Company spoke at Open House for the new creamery and mile condensing plant. He said the facility will play a key role in expanding local dairy farming and meet government needs for condensed milk and powdered milk for Lend Lease shipments. Former Railroader Held As Baden Wreck Suspect
A former railroader, identified as a Conway, Beaver County resident, was captured in Milwaukee and waived extradition to Beaver County. The Baden Pennsylvania Railroad Buckeye wreck last March 16 killed five and injured 129. Authorities noted spikes pulled from a rail and holes in the splice, with a claw bar and wrench found at the scene.

Bradford October 2 The blast on September 19 killed two men and injured others when a truck loaded with explosives blew apart on the Warren Bradford highway. Victims were John Glass 24 driver and Clifford Martin 45 secretary of the Bradford Producers Association. Coroner report says cause unknown with statements from Clarendon Streeter and Bills Phillips of DuPont detailing an exhaustive probe but no determination yet.

Man Arrested After Knife Threat Over Money Refusal
