Many Improvements Being Made in Sparta and Vicinity
Spartansburg and vicinity enjoy clear weather as farmers fill granaries and prepare for winter. Brick veneer homes near Elderkin Hill, new cobble stone porch, fresh paint on Platt and Co. buildings, and a revived former B and R restaurant now housing the Corry Christian and Missionary Alliance church mark notable upgrades. A WPA project advances the new municipal building with stonework from local boulders. The Red Cross seeks stove and household items for a local home, and community groups schedule Grange meetings while visitors tour towns and attend local events and church gatherings.
