Penelec Parent Firm Earnings Rise 1968 Gains Reported
The Penelec parent and three other electric utilities posted higher earnings for the first ten months of 1968 and for the full year. Net income reached 4.5 million for ten months, up from 1967, with earnings per share at 1.76 versus 1.72. KWH sales rose about 10.6 percent and revenues 9.7 percent. The group serves 3.7 million people across 46 percent of Pennsylvania and 43 percent of New Jersey.
