Harrisburg AP reports Pennsylvania hunters start the two week antlered season at 7 a.m. Monday with about 60 000 legal bucks in range. The 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily window ends December 15. No Sunday hunting. Bucks must have two points on one rack or three inch spikes. Expect 740 000 hunters and around 40 000 antlered deer harvested. Last year 752 000 hunted, 39 705 antlered deer killed. Potter County led with 1.2 deer per hunter. M. J. Golden urged safety gear and positive target identification amid gun limits. Automatic and semi automatic rifles banned for this game.

Corry State Police investigate two area crashes. John Wan thor, 42, of Erie, reportedly slept at the wheel on Route 89 south of Waterford, causing his car to crash into guard posts and the east berm with $1,000 damage. no injuries. About an hour later Leah Shepard of Union City drifted from her private drive onto Route 8, hitting Obville Geer of Union City. Geer uninjured, both vehicles damaged, and charges pending.
New Delhi AP Prime Minister Nehru and Pakistan President Ayub Khan agreed to new negotiations over Kashmir and other disputes. Nehru warned talks could be rough and said he might retreat if needed. Opposition in Pakistan pressed for concrete results while China accused of Provocative troop moves near Himalayan ceasefire lines.

Experts explain a shockwave from air compressed ahead of the craft causes the rumble, with reports spanning Union City French Creek and Bear Lake. no windows were reported shattered.

Mayer said a car rented Nov 2, 1960, struck a tree on a rain slick road near Buffalo and was equipped with bald tires. He charged the agency with negligence and suffered additional injuries.
Defense figures show more than 100000 troops in STRAC were alerted for a possible Cuban operation. Five divisions in STRAC, including two airborne units, would be among the first to go. Overall, about 213000 service members were on alert or ready to strike or defend the southeastern United States during the crisis.
State Police search for a car thief tied to a string of thefts across the area. A 1962 Imperial owned by George Orcutt was taken outside his South Center Street office Wednesday afternoon. The thief used multiple vehicles, including a Carter car stolen in Franklin, before moving to Warren and abandoning cars at the Warren Motel and other locations. Police continue tracking the unidentified suspect.
