Woman killed by truck near Bemus Point
Warren Noy Waser reports a driver George Nichola of Westfield struck Mrs Laura Nesmith, eighty, as she walked on a highway near Bemus Point. She died at the scene from a fractured skull. The accident occurred around 6 15 p m Wednesday. Investigators will review further today. Nesmith, widow of banker Afongo Nesmith, lived at 107 Fourth Avenue Warren before staying with her daughter at Bemus Point. Grandson Alfred Woodard, a University of Pennsylvania student, had died in a prior vehicle incident years earlier.
