The Corry-Ettes marching group held its annual family skating party at Wattsburg's Rainbow Roller Rink. Special recognition went to director Jim Leslie and his wife Jane Leslie with a cash gift from the group and instructors. Jackets were awarded to first season marchers Dee Bowen through Melisgs Woodworth, plus Francine Puckley and others. Plans were announced for a December 1 Elks Lodge Christmas party at Shop Your Corry Stores.
Rebecca Suzanne Damon and Thomas Alan Gates married at 2 30 PM in Columbus Community United Church of Christ with Rev Geoffrey Brown officiating. Attendants wore cranberry and brown krinkle cloth as guests from multiple counties attended a 275 guest reception at St Elizabeth Parish center.
The Women's Association of the Corry Country Club held a luncheon and bridge session at the Corry Motor Inn. Winners included Mrs Bruce Neckers, Mrs Eleanor Pierce, Mrs Shirley Perry, Mrs Jenne Cole, Mrs Mary Grieshaw, and Mrs Florence McCray. A follow up luncheon bridge is planned for December 4 at the Motor Inn hosted by Mrs Vera Anderson and Mrs Kenneth Shindledecker.
