County approves water funds for Harborcreek reservoir plan
Erie County commissioners shift stance on Project 70 funds, moving to allocate 55,000 of 176,000 remaining to a Harborcreek reservoir project. Previously, GOP leaders blocked use of funds for any reservoir, favoring a 5.2 million recreational area beside French Creek flood-control site near Union City. Democratic Minority Commissioner Hill Jr. pressed for Harborcreek support. Weir and Lamberton did not second the motion.
