Milk Price Cut Proposal Approved by Dairy Cooperative
Philadelphia November 24 The Inter State Producers Cooperative endorsed a plan to cut Grade B milk prices from 22 to 9 cents on January 1 pending federal and state approval. The group voted at its 16th annual convention. General manager O H Hoffman said a further seasonal cut would follow on April 1 and that current federal price ceilings would expire unless superseded by new recommendations.

Unusual Mine Suit Dismissed by Judge
Federal Judge Walbert J. Watson dismissed a $1,000,000 suit over coal mined at a stripping operation in Blakely Pennsylvania. Plaintiffs led by M. Roy London and John R. London claimed illegal mining since 1938 on land owned by London and leased to Burr Kenyon. The judge ruled Pennsylvania residents fall outside court jurisdiction.
