Railroad Board Rules on Collective Bargaining Decisions

It upheld a vote in Elkhart shops favoring piece work over daily pay, confirming union leaders as legitimate representatives whose decisions require compliance by employers and workers.

Missing North Beagle boy vanishes after lake voyage
Relatives of Frank Jag newski report no clues about the one year old who disappeared September 12 after setting out from near his home in a small sail rigged row boat on the lake. The boat has not been found and searches along the shores yielded no trace. The family believes he may have run away days later after leaving home and has been seen in Erie earlier, but police searches found nothing. Mrs Bea Parts of Renovo has been visiting relatives in Youngstown.
