Wreck causes 23 hurt in Pennsylvania collision
Pennsylvan ia railroad investigators seek the cause of a freight locomotive crashing into a Monongahela Valley passenger train near Pittsburgh on Saturday. Twenty five people were injured, four seriously, mostly women from Homestead Duquesne and Munhall. Engineer Hi W O Neill and his crew escaped injury. Both engines were disabled and track damaged. passenger cars suffered shattered windows but no derailment.

New York November 28 The oil tanker Raritan Sun a 4533 ton vessel built in 1929 valued at 1 000 000 was seized by federal officers who found 6 600 cases of liquor aboard Fifty two seamen were arrested an automatic conveyor and five trucks were taken Prohibition authorities call the seizure a major development The liquor valued at 300 000 was planted by a customs agent aboard the ship and traced from New York to Philadelphia The crew allegedly included members of the Little Augie Pisano gang Pisano linked to Al Capone The incident involved gunfire but ended without disorder as agents fired warning shots and the ship returned to Red Hook docks after a night voyage

Auto crash near Union City injures six guests
Six youths escaped serious harm after their Chevrolet left the Union City Corry road near the Pines three miles east of Union City, struck a telephone pole, and wrecked the car. The vehicle was driven by a son of Louis Jacob of Oil City. occupants, many from Corry area, were guests at a Columbus wedding and were returning from Erie with minor injuries. The wreck was towed to East Main Street Auto Service.

Coroner Probes Fatal Accident In Dense Fog Near Union City
Coroner Dan Hanley continues inquiry into the death of 49 year old Charles J. Wicks after he was struck by a car driven by George Aldrich near Union City as fog shrouded the highway. Wicks died at Linton City hospital from a fractured skull. Aldrich, uninjured, stopped and aided, while state police also investigate. Wicks, a state highway employee, boarded with Raymond Gross and leaves four sisters and two brothers, with funeral arrangements set for St Mary's Church.

Wreck kills Walter Tibbetts in Lebanon auto crash
Walter M Tibbetts of West Reading died in his crashed automobile when the car overturned after striking a culvert. His companion Robert Woods of Lancaster was knocked unconscious and could not lift the car from Tibbetts neck. Woods survived injuries and was hospitalized. Mrs Hastaml of Bear Lake and Miss Gleason were in town visiting for Thanksgiving.

Seven killed and thirty hurt in weekend auto crashes
United Press reports at least seven killed and thirty injured in Western Pennsylvania over the weekend. Chester N. Weir, 57, Washington garage owner, died from a heart attack after investigating a crash. Edward Liszka, 21, Carnegie, was killed earlier that night in a collision on Washington pike. Matt Ceci, 30, Canton township, died when his car went off a levee. Paul Rockwell, 16, Meadville, was struck by a hit and run driver. Other injuries were reported in Pittsburgh, Altoona, Charleroi, Washington, and Ambridge with multiple fatalities in Latrobe area.
