Funeral of Mrs Smith Held in Union City

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith were conducted yesterday afternoon at two o'clock in East Bennett. The body was transported from Union City by car with a large company of relatives and friends. Burial followed in the family plot at Kut Branch. Attendants from the nearby city included Mrs. Riward Howitt, Mrs. Fy, Mr. Parwhurat, and Miss Nikolai.

Erie German Baptist Church Fire Destroys Structure

Fire early today completely destroyed the German Baptist Church at Sassafras and 20th streets in Erie. Estimated damage about $20,000. Authorities believe a stove left burning caused the blaze, with the fire starting in the edifice and gaining extensive spread.

Plan Action To Meet The State Demands

At the meeting of the Commission Monday evening these officials were named a committee to confer and plan a course of action relation to the recent and taal Instructions from Samuel G. Dison, the State Commissioner of Mosh States. He states that under the existing coalition the state has an alternative but begins prosecution against city for continued stream pollution. He notes the city was granted an extension last January but not enacted. The city failed to supply funds schedule for the costly system and failed to inform the state health department of a definite future plan to handle the matter. Solicitor Kluentl and the Mayor and Commission members will confer within a few days to form a plan to satisfy Dixon's department.

Funeral for P. J. M'Mahon Held at St Thomas Cemetery

The funeral for P. J. M'Mahon was conducted from his mother's home on Whit Wayne Street at nine o'clock in the morning. A large turnout of relatives and friends attended with many beautiful coral offerings. A Warren Order of Moose delegation sent flowers. Interment followed at St. Thomas Cemetery.
