Family of Eight Halt Journey in Snow Warps Move to New York
A California bound family of eight traveling to Tonawanda N Y was forced to halt near the Crawford Erie County line on Route 19 due to heavy weather and tire shortages. Three cars spent the night in Crawford county extension agent Joseph S Beard’s yard with a stalled vehicle awaiting repairs while a truck was stopped by State Police at Union City. The group, including the mother two sons a daughter in law and a baby, slept in a camper while possessions loaded on the truck. The father recently died and the family plans to move back to New York.

Blue Moon Frog Returned to Lake After Frognapping
Blue Moon, Philadelphia Zoo’s rare blue frog, was tossed into a Stratford New Jersey lake after being taken in a frognapping. An adult released it thinking the animal suffocated in a bag. Two 12 year olds were questioned and later released to their parents. Connie Gisolin found the frog in Wayne County last July.
