Delegates infer their from the UN cup in the smashing assembly endorsement of the West plan to increase the disarmament. Communist nations voted against. only the Soviet bloc stayed neutral. The West had expected Syria and Egypt to withhold support due to Moscow aid. Asian neutrals such as Gayjon and Tadoneata showed sympathy for Soviet ideas. The U S Public Health Service reports signs the Asian influenza epidemic has reached its peak in many regions, with influenza and pneumonia deaths in 198 cities down 13 percent week to week. Total new cases estimated at 780000 for the week ending November 16th, and overall Asian flu cases since June at about 9 19 million.
