Local clubs churches and groups publish a schedule of meetings bake sales rehearsals and social events for November including Hatch school bake sale November 22 Electric Light District, ladies aid quilting, WW paroles and circle activities, plus civic and shop ads and a mention of a college ward at the hospital and a patrol officer incident.
The Readers club gathered yesterday afternoon at Mrs Cronin s home with Sevgentoent members and two guests Dr Milne from Corry hospital and Abs WD Reidenbrook from Jamestown answering roll call. Mrs Milne spoke on Proper Care of Children sharing experiences from London and U S hospitals. the club plans a November 27 meeting with Mrs T F Giblin as hostess.
The Rotary Club held its weekly luncheon at the Phoenix hotel with many out-of-town guests including John Wilder of Chicago and A. W. Ely of Erie. A. W. Ely performed a parody and other numbers while Mr. Ely, secretary of the Erie County Anti Tuberculosis Society, spoke on the group's work. Divers visitors and local members attended as Rev. B. Ashton and President Loveland introduced the speaker.
Word reached Mr and Mrs T L Blair of Oi City that their son Arthur sailed from New York Sunday for a six weeks journey to Venice California. The voyage was approved on the recommendation of several officials and his travel plans were confirmed.
