Driver Held Negligent in Woman's Death in County
Russell Mattes, 38, of Holland Street, faces possible charges of driving while intoxicated and involuntary manslaughter after a collision five miles from Etib last Saturday night. The victim, a 37 year old of Parada Street, died. Mattes was held by State Highway Patrolman L. Miller and awaits arraignment before Alderman Prétic Gat jows. Mattes sustained injuries and is hospitalized at St. Vincent's Hospital.

One of the largest Ladies Aid Society gatherings for the Baptist church met Wednesday at the home of Mrs. A. G. Reesinie and Mrs. Nettie Roberts on Most Congress street. A noon tureen dinner was served. The program included chairmen appointments for upcoming events, with sewing and a donation to the Baptist Orphanage at Pittsburgh noted.
