Three county peace officers poised to escape jury verdict
Three county peace officers Justice of Peace Waiter Goodwin and Constables JO Baddell and Glenn Walters were indicted for conspiracy by the grand jury last week and face trial next February. The Commonwealth cites difficulty proving conspiracy while District Attorney Mortimer B. Gyablim refuses comment beyond stating intent to press the case. County officials were surprised the grand jury did not dismiss the indictments last year.
