Auto accidents sweep weekend with minor injuries
A series of automobile crashes occurred over the weekend with no critical injuries. A Ford coupe driven by D A Mel Murray of Erie left the Roosevelt highway near Omar Crowell’s farm Sunday morning and was badly damaged though occupants appeared to have only minor injuries. A Union City man reportedly sustained slight injuries in another accident west of the city. On North Center Street a collision between a Ford sedan driven by Geoil Chapin of Erie and a Ford coupe owned by Howard Pier caused front-end damage to Chapin’s car and a smashed fender on Pier’s. A Buick four passenger coupe with New York plates went off an embankment on Butch street. the car was unoccupied and suffered no serious damage.
