Records Broken By Chevrolet Agency Sales Shine
Lawrence Thomas of Thomas Motor Co reports record sales for a new Chevrolet line with past week figures exceeding prior highs. Local sales for the past year totaled 25 cars and trucks and visitors at the life dealership topped 1,000, signaling a banner year ahead. Eight orders were on file the night before the 1937 models’ formal bow, and six orders were taken in a single day by Thomas Motor Co. Demand for bright colored models also grew as the Buffalo zoo notes higher car sales than in mid-1936. Virgil Andrews, 35, jailed for driving while intoxicated after colliding with a geophysical research truck loaded with dynamite.
