Six Hurt In Head On Crash Near Findley Lake
Six persons were injured in a head on collision on the North West Windley Lake road southeast of North East. Mrs. Ialey Hitchcock 40 of Bankstreet was taken to St Vincent's hospital in serious condition with chest and internal injuries. Her 9 year old daughter Jean and others Joseph Spacht Jr Edward Bowen Margaret Lutz and Florence Lattz were treated at Dr J C Dineville's office. The accident occurred after Spacht's car exited a driveway and struck Hitchcock's car head on.

Nay 14 Barade street resident died at Hafaul hospital Monday night from injuries after falling down cellar steps in his home. He was injured while carrying working clothes to the cellar after returning from work and was later pronounced dead in the evening. His son James, 20, assisted in taking him to the hospital.

Constable Chilton Shreve of Shreve, fourth ward, received another continuance on blackmail charges in Brig county snurt. Judge A P Rossiter granted the delay after defense attorneys S Rossiter and William J Carey argued insufficient prep time. No action will occur until February as the district attorney shifted cases this week. The two-year-old charges have long lingered with doubt they will ever be heard.
