Gilbert Crook Dies After Train Collision Near Center Street

Gilbert Crook a long time resident of Donation Hill north of the city was struck and killed by a train at the North Corry crossing on Center Street. The accident occurred around noon as Crook, driving into Corry earlier, failed to hear the approaching locomotive No. 62. His body was moved to the depot morgue by Alexander & Co. He leaves a son and daughter, and is survived by his sister Emma Crook, a teacher in Erie, and a daughter Mrs. O. Haxtman.
