Grange Debates Issues After Promotion Ceremony
Sacramento Nov 16 The National Grange moved to consider several controversial topics discussed in earlier sessions. Officers last night conferred the seventh degree on about 5000 members. The Grange will not endorse the AAA or processing taxes until industries reject tariff protection. It opposes transferring forest and conservation work from Agriculture to Interior. It demands liquidation of unnecessary holding companies within five years. It backs an old age pension system and opposes military training in schools. It favors federal control of war production on a non profit basis.
