Six Men Injured in Newport Train Wreck

Six men were injured, two seriously, when a westbound freight train collided with an eastbound passenger train on the Pennsylvania Railroad main line near Newport, Pennsylvania. The wreck derailed three engines and tank cars, then the passenger train sideswiped wreckage. Among the injured were David Hogins of Hoboken, a soldier, and Leydig of State Life Fire, a fireman. Attempted break-in at gas station on North Center Street
