State acts to clean Lake Erie pollution near Erie plants
Fish Wardens McDonnell and Albert were instructed by State Fish Commissioner Nathan R. Buller to collect evidence and prosecute if dumping into Lake Erie does not stop within 10 days. He toured the lakefront noticing Perry Iron Works and Watson Paper Works still discharging refuse and acids injurious to fish. The move aims to curb nuisances along the lake front and protect the fisheries vital to the city.
