Titusville report states Hydetown man Allen Love pleaded in nocent yesterday before Allerman MV. Allen Love faced assault charges after a 13 year old boy was punched in the face and knocked to the ground by Love. The boy’s mother filed the charges seeking peace bond.
An Evie man who works in Buffalo and said he did not know he was up for trial here this week was sentenced to four months in Allegheny County Workhouse after pleading guilty to a drink driving charge. Louis Johnson had been called for trial Tuesday. his bond was forfeited when he did not appear. He appeared Thursday to plead guilty.
At the Hospital Report as of 4 a.m. lists admitted patients including Pauline 9 daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Ditan Taura Donna 16 daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank McCaslin 912 West Pleasant street and Ronald 6 month old son of Mr and Mrs Lawrence Lobdell 937 Burton Avenue among others. Discharged names include Mrs Donald Tyisowlt Ernest Willis Mrs Charles Harden Mrs Frank Chase Arthur Allen and Harris Watrous. A separate note reports Moses M Miles of Sherman sentenced to 80 days in county jail for petit larceny. Also a Warren General Hospital update notes Louis Nobles slight improvement after a crash on Chapman Dam Road. Local notices include Christmas Seal Sale in Crawford County and an NLRB dismissal of an unfair labor practice complaint against Quaker State Oil Refining Corp.
Meadville postmaster Frank B. Kunselman announced Robert L. Foster of Meadville won the Star Route contract between Meadville Titusville. Foster bid 5165, the lowest of 13 bids. highest bid was 7825. The contract covers mailbox deliveries Titusville to Diamond and Meadville to Guys Mills, expiring next June with bids open for a four year term starting July 1.
