Two Big Reservoirs Will Check Pittsburgh Floods
Pittsburgh uses two main flood controls, the Tyger Dam on the Monongahela headwaters and a future Youghio gheny river project, to reduce water by about three feet during floods. Crooked Creek reservoir and other dams are being readied for emergencies, with several more planned to strengthen anti flood defense ahead of next winter.

Three Kinzua youths injured in early Sunday crash
Three Kinzua youths were injured when their car crashed into a parked machine on Route 6 near Morrison and Bliss. Samuel Racco, 18, is hospitalized with a fractured pelvis and internal injuries, Sab Zattino, 17, head lacerations and discharged, Louis Puraenl, 19, minor cuts. Police investigated as the Kane State motor police spoke with witnesses and two ambulances transported the injured to Community hospital.
