Owen Wilbur Smith a 17 year old son of Mr and Mrs Vern Smith of Sturgis Cover Crawford County ended his life last night by a revolver shot to the heart. The tragedy was found by his father in the garage as he investigated the boys unexplained absence. The family of Bloomfield township are grief stricken as he had suffered ill health for years and grew despondent recently. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm from Witling church with interment in Town Line cemetery.
