Civil War veteran George Watrous, 84, died at 4:60 this morning at his son Harris Watrous’s home in Sciota. Born November 21, 1841 in Cortland, NY, he had lived in Sciota for 45 years. Survived by wife Sylvie, two daughters Mrs. Carl Woodward and Mrs. Leon Hitch, two sisters, and two brothers. Funeral from Suita home Monday at 2 PM with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
