Jamestown November 18 a young woman named Wilhelming Wilson fired a .38 revolver at her husband John J. Wilson on Main and Second streets missing him by inches. She pleaded guilty to assault in the second degree and received a $500 fine paid by Nathan J. Butts. no imprisonment.
The judge notes a guilty plea would limit sentencing options to imprisonment or suspension, but a lesser plea could still allow the court to defer or modify punishment within its jurisdiction.
