City police charged one driver with drunk driving after a two car crash on Mead avenue at West Washington street. William H. Hayes 24 of Corry claimed he pulled into the intersection after stopping. Sam H. Stevens 45 of Erie drove erratically and without lights. Hayes said his wife warned of a car without lights. Stevens appeared drunk, refused field tests, and declined a breath test claiming he wanted an attorney. He was held overnight for arraignment before District Justice Porter Auer.
