Pay Raises Stir Borough Budget Plans Ahead
The five percent raise would boost salaries across several roles. After ten years, a $6,930 annual pay becomes $7,276.50, a patrolman up to $289.50 more, and a public works superintendent up by $315. A borough secretary with 5 to 7 years service gains about $315. Hourly workers receive raises based on hours and rate. Budget impact estimated around $4,000, under one mill, with taxation changes complicating millage adjustments.
