Ohio Man Loses Foot In Crash Near Conneaut
Nicholas Nachman, 32, East Springfield businessman and operator of a ferry store, was injured about 1 a.m. when his car left Route 20 east of West Springfield and rolled over several times. He is reported in good condition at Brown Memorial Hospital where his foot was amputated. Nachman had been bowling at Conneaut Recreation Center before the return trip.

City Police Record Quiet October With Minor Incidents
City police logged a quiet October with one burglary under investigation and 459 parking tickets. A 22 caliber pistol incident at the American Legion club rooms on October 30 led to the postponement of Leonard Barreca from Brocton in the preliminary examination on second degree assault and unlawful possession of a revolver.
