Pressure Builds To Pull Troops Out Of Ireland
London AP reports pressure on Prime Minister Edward Heath to pull 14,000 British troops from Northern Ireland. Heath and opposition leader Harold Wilson oppose a withdrawal to avoid civil war risk, unrest elsewhere, and a potential Communist takeover of a united Ireland. Polls show mixed support for staying or leaving, with some urging a deadline for withdrawal. Hepburn to star in Travels With My Aunt film at MGM.
