In Ridgway a lamp explosion fatally burns eight year old Sare Sarginger and severely injures his mother Mrs. Robert Sarginger at their Windfall Benzinger home six miles from St Marys. The mother lies in critical condition at St Marys Memorial Hospital with burns and poor prognosis.
Miss Sazer Oeny, recently returned from Cochabamba, will present an illustrated lecture on Missionary Work at the First Presbyterian Church Sunday at 7:80. John Schiffer aged 42 died at Oil City Hospital after a Monday crane mishap at Oil Well Supply Co. He suffered a fractured left hip when a heavy chain swung and struck him while he assisted moving castings. He was born in Austria and had worked there about a year, living in Oil City about 20 years.
