Man in Philadelphia Attempts Murder at Public Safety Director’s Office
A man described as Henry Clark, 46, fired two shots at Monty Clay, director of public safety, at 1063 North Front Street. O'Leary, the police superintendent, tackled the assailant, who was then restrained. Clark claimed Gov. protection and said workers were not obeyed. Clark appeared demented and was arraigned at Central Station.
