Corry Board of Trade Considers Castor Company Move

Executive Committee members met with most in attendance to discuss the Corry Castor Company rumored move to Warren Wan. A committee was appointed to advise on retaining the firm in Corry City. The plan involves a 100 by 200 foot two story building to employ 14 workers. The company has over thirty five years of operation and is deemed reliable. Further investigation was ordered.

Quarrel Ends by Shooting in Jamestown

In Jamestown Williams 19 and Kilburn 25 were involved after a dispute over 25 cents led to Williams being shot twice. Kilburn surrendered after Denny Sheri Brages from Rie Holnh assisted at the scene. Williams was struck in the right side and his watch case was damaged.

Corry Company Booms With Expansion and Hiring

Corry Hrick and Te Company shows rapid growth as output soars for eighteen months. Two new kilns and a four story office building were erected at over twenty thousand dollars. Philadelphia November 3 1944 Penn coaches moved the entire Varsity squad to Wayne to rest and brace for the Indian game. Twenty two players traveled with light workouts planned at Wayne Hotel and St Luke's School. Shooting at Mayville Barroom Leaves Man Wounded

A man named Koch from Dunkirk, representing a brewery, fired an automatic shotgun in a Mayville barroom at the Thompson House by the lake. The shot passed through a partition, wounding a railroad official. Dr. Reynolds treated the injuries which were not serious.
