Harrisburg November 3 Heart attacks have killed three hunters in Pennsylvania during the three day small game season. The victims were David H Keepeats 12 of Laurel R D 1 York county Robert G Bulick 72 a retired farmer of Stormstown Centre county and Prank Ryner 60 a Chambersburg farmer. Keepeats body was found on an island in the Susquehanna River near York Furnace by his son Walter and a friend John Hively who went to search for him after he did not return from a duck hunting expedition. Bulick and Ryner died while hunting in areas near their homes.
Franklin Ind Nov 3 Two soldiers from the 28th Division were killed and 16 injured when a bus returning them from a farewell party crashed into a tree near Glenns Valley. Victims were from Company A 110th Infantry Regiment and were en route to Camp Atterbury. Rescue crews freed the dead and injured, with all wounded taken to Camp Atterbury Hospital.
Harrisburg reports the commonwealth seeks an additional 25 million dollars to bolster the 40 million already committed to the Public School Building Authority for new constructions. The plan follows 8, or 8? projects since 1949 and 95 under contract, with 25 completed or not in use, and 57 more approved or awaiting action.
