The report says allied powers reject Turkey's apology as Russia moves to expel all Turks from Ruwole within a week. An incident in Petrograd involved a Turkish envoy being assaulted. A late report claims German assault on August 8 was claimed abandoned by the Freyeh.
United Press dispatch reports that Entente forces improved positions along the Yser River after claims of Turkish actions against the Allies. British naval bombardment reportedly destroyed Akaba and Turkish defenses, with German officers said to have been present. A Federation of Social Service organizations met in the Payne block East Main street to organize co operation among city groups for charity and social betterment. Washington November 2 normal consideration of the application of eastern railways for advanced freight rates was begun today by the Interstate Commerce Commission in the November conference. A decision is expected within two weeks or a month. The rates are under scrutiny before other actions which cannot be delayed under the sutra. The print must be in the hands of the public Printer by November 15.
