Frances Stone a 24 year old Hoershues resident, arrested in New York on a charge of petty larceny. Accused of stealing eight pairs of gloves from a Sixth Avenue shop, she was brought to Jefferson Market Court for arraignment. She said she was engaged to be married and planned a trousseau shopping trip.

Dr Henry C McCook Seriously Ill in Philadelphia

Dr Henry Christopher McCook a renowned etymologist and clergyman is gravely ill at his Devon home from heart trouble and age related sickness. The 74 year old author and former pastor of the Tabernacle Presbyterian Church led the National Re- Met commission and resigned in 1899 due to ill health.
